Heather & Dan's Rainy Day Engagement

Today I woke up excited. The sun was shining, bunting was up on the streets of Wirksworth and the town was getting ready for another day of open gardens. Best of all I had a fab couple travelling to see me for their engagement shoot. I was full of ideas, nooks and crannies to explore and places to take photos.

And then it rained. A lot.

Determined not to let it spoil the shoot I quickly dashed down to two of my very favourite Wirksworthian places, Le Mistral and The Vintage Rooms. I explained the situation to the lovely folks working in each place and asked if they'd mind me taking Heather and Dan in and doing some shots there and the answers were both a resounding "Of course you can!" It was great fun and as it turns out, I wouldn't actually take away the rain, even if I could. We even went out and braved the elements, giving Heather a chance to give her Vivien of Holloway dress the swishing it deserved.
