Paul & Becky's Ashbourne and Ashleyhay Wedding Preview

Paul & Becky were so relaxed and fun to work with. Becky didn't think twice about taking her beautiful dress through long wet grass. This was the closest I've come yet to shooting a wedding in Wirksworth, despite living here! So nice to be five minutes from home for a change. There's lots more from this awesome day to come, but for now here's a taster!

An impromptu Matlock engagement shoot

I met up with this lovely pair the other day. They were days away from going off to Wales to get hitched. I hope their wedding was absolutely wonderful and was so excited to play a little part in their journey and do a one-off engagement shoot for them. It was a nice chance to put the stress of their impending wedding to one side and just enjoy being together! It was a little strange for me to shoot a couple's engagement without then going on to do their wedding photography but I treated it like one of my Caught in Love shoots and it was lots of fun.

If you're interested in getting some photos with you and the person you love, drop me a line. Shoots are £125.

Portraits - Lucy Stendall

I adore this girl. She saved my bacon when I was pregnant, she is absolutely lovely and I couldn't believe  when we met up the other week that we'd never done it before.

We chased down some gorgeous evening light as the sun set on another beautifully warm day in Derbyshire and did a little bit of a shoot swap. Frankly I cannot believe that this lady thinks she isn't photogenic! I could take portraits of her every day.

So, that's another fab photographer ticked off my list of my to-shoot list.

Here's to lots more golden evenings and nattering!

Portrait Session - Hannah Webster

Hannah Webster is the ruddy marvellous lass behind Lifeline Photography. I have posted about this before but I'm going to say it again - I love meeting other photographers and I'm starting to really enjoy photographing them too (in fact I have a few more photographer shoots coming up for you soon...!)

Hannah and I relaxed in the sun up on the High Peak Trail, chatting about all sorts (cameras, freckles, having awesome palindromic names etc.) and lazing around by daffodils. I absolutely love late afternoon light on warm, sunny days!

As always you can pop over to Facebook to see even more from this shoot. Come say hello!
